Braindead 13 (CD)

Game Description: You play the part of a computer repair expert sent to repair a computer for an evil disembodied brain. when you finish fixing his computer, he sends his pet Fritz after you to kill you. In the game you have to run from Fritz most of the time, and in the end, you get to fight him. During the game you can meet up with some pretty freaky characters whom you may be able to use to your advantage.

Graphics: As with Dragon's Lair and Space Ace, the graphics in Braindead 13 are outstanding. RATING: 9.5

Sound: The sound quality is much better than Dragon's Lair, but sometimes the characters mumble, or the music is to loud to understand them. The music is excellent background music, but as I said, it is sometimes too loud. Other effects such as doors slamming and centepedes chomping off your head are very realistic. RATING: 8

Gameplay: I gave the gameplay for Dragon's Lair and Space Ace low ratings because they were boring. You might expect the same for Braindead 13, but that's not so! Braindead 13 is much more fun to play because it has far more choices that you can make, many more characters to meet, and once you've entered a room, you can turn around and go back out if you want to. RATING: 8.5

Overall: BrainDead 13 is much more fun than the Don Bluth games. Unlike them, BrainDead 13 does have a save option, and you get a choice of what rooms you want to go in, so it isn't as repetitive. One thing to consider is the gorey death scenes. They don't show any blood, but you still get to watch your head get chopped off by a cook, or your rib-cage get pulled out by a football player. If that sickens you, this game isn't for you. RATING: 8.5
