Game Description: In Dino Dudes, you are the leader of the "Dino Dudes", as you lead them through 80 levels of play! This game is similar to Humans on the Genesis, and can sort of be described as a Lemmings type game. You have to discover objects and get yourself through various obstacles such as cliffs and boulders, which get progessively tougher as you move on. Dino Dudes have many different enemies to defeat with your new found weapons. One of the earliest Jaguar games (4th I believe).

Graphics: Well I will start off with the negative, basically Dino Dudes is not the type of game that will take advantage of the advanced Jaguar specs, nor would any other type of puzzler like this though. But the graphics are still very good. The characters are small, but very detailed. The foregrounds others objects and the landscpae generally look very nice. The backgrounds on most of the boards are very colorful and well-detailed. While the backrounds are motionless they are very nice looking! Really the only downside here is the fact this is not a game that takes advantage of the Jaguar, but they are still very, very well-done! RATING: 7.5

Sound: The music is pretty good. Very upbeat, as it would be expected and in general the tunes just go very well with the game. The effects are very good and some are extremely realistic! When you are setting something on fire the crackling sounds are very well done, as are the screams! All in all, very nice! RATING: 8.5

Gameplay: Well, the play in these types of games are very basic and tough to rate. The character moves rather slow, while all the actions you need to use are fairly easy to learn. It is tough to elaborate here, it is what you would expect from this type of puzzler. Very adequate. RATING: 6

Overall: I enjoyed Evolution: Dino Dudes. It is far from revolutionary, but it is alot of fun. There is 80 levels which means you will get some play out of this game. If you are in to Lemmings type puzzlers this may be worth looking at, as it is long, fun and with its age most likely rather cheap. Certainly a change of pace from most games! RATING: 7.5
