Game Description: Well I imagine there is no reason to explain what goes on in this game because if you own a Jag you probably have this game or if you have a computer and don't have a Jag you probably have the PC version. I will anyway. In Doom you play in the first person perspective as you fight in Phobos. You play in a bloody, gore filled world as you have various weapons that you will pick up along the way, such as rocket launchers, chain saws, machine guns and your hands. Your goal is to defeat this game to avenge the brutal slaughter of your men. This was the second of ID Softwares blockbuster first person perspective series and is arguably the most popular computer game in history.

Graphics: The graphics in Doom are awesome, as they were in the PC but with some improvements. The graphics are seen in a first person perspective and are filled with blood and gore. The characters are of top quality and are not too pixilish even when they are right in front of you. The folks at ID did a fine job with the graphical conversion! RATING: 9

Sound: The effects in this game are pretty good throughout the game with the various sounds such as the chain saw, guns ect. This game lacks in game music, but once again I feel there are some games that are better left without music and Doom may be one of them. The overall effects help create a effect that adds to the game, they did pretty well in the sound category too! RATING: 8

Gameplay: This game plays very well. The gameplays speed was increased on the Jaguar version which is pretty nice. This game I feel plays better on the Jaguar, with added goodies like increased speed, and simply playing a game on a game system almost always beats plaing it on a computer! RATING: 9.5

Overall: Well the people at ID did an awesome Job with the Jaguar conversion! For the most part this is as good if not better then the PC version. So if you own a Jag and have not picked up this game yet, it should certainly be considered. Nice job ID Software! RATING: 9
